E. Paul Amundson, M.D. - Medical Director, CVS Caremark

A native of Indiana, Paul completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Dakota and received his MD degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1989.  Following 15 years of private practice in Sioux Falls he served as Chief Medical Officer of DAKOTACARE Health Plan for ten years, recently moving to his current position with CVS Health in May 2017. He is board certified in family practice and serves as a clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Sanford School of Medicine at USD. Paul is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, The South Dakota Academy of Family Physicians, National Academy of Managed Care Physicians, American Medical Association and the South Dakota State Medical Association.

Paul leads coordination efforts for short-term medical mission work in Nicaragua, is involved in various community health improvement efforts and was honored as the 2010 recipient of the SDSMA Community Service Award. He is married to Dr. Alison Tendler and has three grown sons, with whom he enjoys numerous outdoor activities such as biking/hiking, golf and upland game hunting.


Jan Matthiesen - Vice President of Human Resources, Raven Industries 

Jan Matthiesen is the Vice President of Human Resources at Raven Industries, headquartered in Sioux Falls, SD.  Raven employs 900 team members in various locations across the North America and the Netherlands.  Locations include: Sioux Falls, SD; Madison, SD, Sulphur Springs, TX; Austin, TX; Monterey, CA; Arlington, VA; Stockholm, Canada, and Middenmeer, the Netherlands.

Prior to joining Raven in 2010, Jan worked in government contracting for 18 years.  Most recently she worked with SAIC in Albuquerque, NM supporting defense contracts with the military.  Prior to that she supported SAIC and Raytheon with Department of the Interior work at the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center near Sioux Falls.  Jan spent several years in recruiting and then moved into HR management.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Sioux Falls.

Jan and her husband Brad have been married for over 30 years and live on the family farm near Jasper, Minnesota. They have two children, a daughter and a son and spouses - all living and working in the Sioux Falls area. Brad and Jan have a home in Sioux Falls as well as their farm near Jasper.  They split their time between the two and enjoy family time together as well as experiencing city living.  Jan was elected to the council in her church in Dell Rapids as well provided support to the Jasper school board in the past.  Jan was on the board for the Dell Rapids hospital from 2006-2008.  She is currently on the board for the Multi-Cultural Center in downtown Sioux Falls.  


Pastor Bill Tesch - Director for Evangelical Mission of the South Dakota Synod and an Associate to the Bishop

He is called to accompany and equip Communities of faith as they seek to engage in God’s mission of reconciling and restoring all of God’s creation.

Pastor Tesch has served in South Dakota since his Ordination in 1989. His first call was to St. Peter and St. Paul Lutheran Churches in Humboldt and Orland, SD. In 1992 he was called to gather a new congregation on the northeast side of Sioux Falls, SD called Messiah New Hope. During his 15-year tenure as Mission Developer and later as Sr. Pastor of Messiah New Hope, Pastor Tesch oversaw the startup of several impactful ministries including a full service day care center, a preschool, a citywide high school youth ministry and a cooperative venture that brings food resources to underserved parts of the city.

 In 2006 Pastor Tesch and a business partner formed a successful enterprise called, “Sycamore Ministries” which provided consulting and resource cultivation services to churches and not for profit organizations.

 Pastor Tesch serves in the United States Military as the Wing Chaplain with the South Dakota Air National Guard.

 Pastor Tesch is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison, Luther Seminary, Officer’s Training School, The Air Force Chaplain School, and the USAF Air Command and Staff College.

 He is married to Chris Tesch who teaches Nursing at the University of South Dakota. He and Mrs. Tesch have two grown children.


Jessica Lueking - Therapist and Partner, Journey Counseling Services, LLC Jessica Vos Lueking – Owner and Therapist, Genesis Counseling and Consulting LLC

Jessica began her career in the mental health and substance abuse field in 2008 while working as an intern for Avera McKennan.  She worked with individuals and families with mental health concerns, substance abuse, and gambling addiction while co-facilitating the Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program.  During this internship she established a relationship with Face It TOGETHER Sioux Falls, initially connecting with staff while attending their town hall meetings and participating in several Face It TOGETHER introductory events.

Jessica’s career and passion for addiction recovery intensified through her work with addiction, recovery, interaction with Face It TOGETHER Sioux Falls and working with other providers in the community.  She became a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health and a Licensed Addictions Counselor. Over the past eight years Jessica continued to facilitate an Intensive Outpatient Treatment program serving individuals, families, and couples in the treatment of mental health concerns and substance abuse.

She currently owns and offers services in her own private counseling practice called Genesis Counseling and Consulting LLC in Sioux Falls, SD. She enjoys serving individuals, couples, and families in matters related to mental health, substance abuse treatment, stress management issues, negative thinking patterns, relationship issues, or challenges related to grief and loss.

Through the years Jessica has continued to collaborate with Face It TOGETHER Sioux Falls and is committed to the goal of “There is more than one way to get well.”  She is an avid supporter and participant in the annual March Into the Light walk along with many family members, Team Journey from Journey Counseling Services, and other community supporters.

Jessica grew up in Sioux Falls, SD where she attended Lincoln High School.  She completed her undergraduate studies at South Dakota State University in Sociology with a Minor in Spanish. In 2009, Jessica graduated with a Masters Degree in Counseling from South Dakota State University.  She lives in Sioux Falls, SD with two children.  In her free time Jessica enjoys spending time with family, spending time with friends and travelling. 

She is excited to be part of such an amazing organization and looks forward to many more years of collaborating with Face It TOGETHER.
