We know that our results depend on the quality of our partnerships.
Our co-founder, Kevin Kirby, was named in 2013 to the influential Ashoka Fellowship, a global initiative advancing social entrepreneurship to solve our world’s most pressing problems. In partnership with its Fellows, Ashoka builds communities of innovators who work collectively to transform society and design new ways for citizen-led solutions to become more productive, entrepreneurial and globally integrated.
Ashoka is the largest network of social entrepreneurs worldwide, with nearly 3,000 Ashoka Fellows in 70 countries putting their system-changing ideas into practice on a global scale. Founded by Bill Drayton in 1980, Ashoka launched the field of social entrepreneurship and has activated multi-sector partners across the world who increasingly look to entrepreneurial talent and new ideas to solve social problems.
We work in partnership with Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center on an award-winning community awareness program intended to remove barriers, such as stigma and shame, to getting well from the disease of addiction. We also partner with Avera’s outpatient treatment program to provide recovery coaching and other disease management support.
Avera McKennan Hospital and University Center is a member of Avera Health, a regional health care family of 300 facilities in the five-state region of South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.
We've been recognized by the Bush Foundation for our work to fundamentally change the way the disease of addiction is treated and understood in the community of Sioux Falls. In December of 2014, we were recognized as a winner of The Bush Prize for Innovation.
The Bush Foundation invests in great ideas and the people who power them. Established in 1953 by 3M executive Archibald Bush and his wife, Edyth, the Foundation encourages individuals and organizations to think bigger and think differently about what is possible in communities across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geographic area.
